EZE / CAP D'AIL
Eze
Eze village is probably the most beautiful mediaeval village on the French Riviera.
It’s situated 14 km east from Nice, at a hilltop at 429 m above sea level with the most stunning view over the Mediterranean sea.
The village is charming and full of small shops and galleries with an exotic garden at the top.
Finally the new underground parking is ready so it’s easy to go there by car.
You can also take the bus 82 from Nice (often overcrowded) or the train to Eze Plage and walk up (very hard).
Cap d’Ail
It’s a small village of 4 508 inhabitants just west of Monaco.
It’s mostly known for its natural beaches, most known is Mala, and coastal path with typical mediterranean vegetation.




Exotic Garden
20 Rue du Château, Èze
The panorama from the garden offers one of the most spectacular views of the French Riviera.
The south facing side of the garden features numerous species of plants from all the continents.
The north face, with its caves and cascade, shelters plants from the Mediterranean.
In the garden you can find signs with information about Eze’s artistic and historical heritage.

Church Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption
Place de l'Église, Èze
You can spot the church from the top of the Exotic garden on the east side, but it’s also worth a visit inside.
The church was rebuilt between 1764-1778 in a neo-classical eighteenth century style on the foundations of a twelfth-century church, which was in ruins.
The building has been classified as a historical monument since 1984.

L’Antre Potes
1, avenue du Jardin Exotique, Eze
This restaurant is situated in the village before going up in the old part on the left side.
It has a big terrace, some parts sunny, some shadowed by some trees.
They serve nice local food at reasonable prices. Sometimes they also make BBQ at the street so you can grab a merguez sandwich.
Anjuna Beach
28 Av. de la Liberté, Èze
This restaurant is located at Eze Plage.
It’s a surf-themed beach bar, open April-October. You’re almost sitting and eating in the sea.
It’s a 15 minute train ride from Nice.
They serve tasty lunch e.g a delicious caesar salad and fresh seafood
The atmosphere is nice, the staff is great and service minded and they play good music.
Prices are at the higher end.
Cap d’Ail
One of the Riviera’s most beautiful coastal walks!
Just 15 minutes by train from Nice, head to Cap d’Ail for breathtaking views, stunning villas, and a leisurely stroll along the coast. From the station, it’s only minutes to the scenic path, taking you east to Marquet Beach and back in about 2 hours.
