EZE
Eze village is probably the most beautiful mediaeval village on the French Riviera.
It’s situated 14 km east from Nice, at a hilltop at 429 m above sea level with the most stunning view over the Mediterranean sea.
The village is charming and full of small shops and galleries with an exotic garden at the top.
Finally the new underground parking is read so it’s easy to go there by car.
You can also take the bus 82 from Nice (often overcrowded) or the train to Eze Plage and walk up (very hard).
Exotic Garden
20 Rue du Château, Èze
The panorama from the garden offers one of the most spectacular views of the French Riviera.
The south facing side of the garden features numerous species of plants from all the continents.
The north face, with its caves and cascade, shelters plants from the Mediterranean.
In the garden you can find signs with information about Eze’s artistic and historical heritage.
Church Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption
Place de l'Église, Èze
You can spot the church from the top of the Exotic garden on the east side, but it’s also worth a visit inside.
The church was rebuilt between 1764-1778 in a neo-classical eighteenth century style on the foundations of a twelfth-century church, which was in ruins.
The building has been classified as a historical monument since 1984.
