Here I recommend some nice and interesting shops in my opinion.

When the baby starts walking, she needs shoes. Les Pieds Sur Terre ( the feet on the ground) have shoes from size 17. They are so cute.
And the shop is really inspiring for children with very nice staff.

In Vieux Nice, close to Place Garibaldi, there is a fantastic shop selling spices and tea. You are overwhelmed by the smell already on the street.
The store staff is very experienced and can explain the difference between different peppers.
In the tea store you can choose from all kinds of tea and even some locally inspired mixes.

In the Harbour of Nice there’s a small fish market open every morning 10-13. They sell freshly caught fish.
It’s also possible to buy oysters and eat on the spot.

Mondial Market is a nice asian food shop.
They have everything you need; tons of rice, all kinds of noodles, soya sauce, chillisauce, oyster sauce, dumplings, spring rolls etc. to prepare Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai or Indian food.

Roche Bobois

Roche-Bobois is a luxury French brand in furniture and home decoration created in the 1950’s.The offer is original, made in Europe with a high level of personalization.
They just opened a new store at Place Massena in Nice.

Kai’s Monkey Business

A funny antic-art shop/ bar owned by a Dane. The shop is full of crazy things but also fantastic lamps and an exceptional collection of disney figurines. Kai is very handy and he is transforming old transistor radios to Bluetooth loudspeakers and makes his own lamps from driftwood from the beach.
In the bar he serves danish beer of course, and wine and soft drinks.

A new fresh pastry and coffee shop concept. The store is has a modern design, creative pastries and a young and dynamic team.
Vincent, the owner, is a young pastry chef with the ambition to create a modern and sustainable type of the traditional french pastries and cakes.
His friend is the barista and he is proud to serve coffee he has taken time to find.

This colorful shop has a large choice of sewing and knitting equipment and a lot of fantasy accessories presented in a very nice way.

Azzurro Artisan Glacier
1, rue Ste-Reparate, Nice
Situated in the heart of the old city, they offer a large choice of home made ice-cream and sorbet, including original combinations at a very affordable price.
The favorites are dark cacao sorbet and coconut water sorbet. But all fruit sorbets are very nice and refreshing on a hot summer day.

Oui Gelato
5, rue de la Préfecture, Nice
This is a family owned shop offering artisanal Italian ice-cream. They have a large choice and many variations of traditional tastes. The coffee ice-cream is delicious and also “Monte-Carlo”, a cappuccino ice-cream with a milder coffee taste.
Pistachio and hasselnut are also very nice.

Garibaldi Glacier
54, Avenue de la Republique, Nice
Le Garibaldi glacier is situated at Place Garibaldi. Their creamy coconut ice-cream and an amazingly good blackcurrant sorbet are very nice. But the strawberry and dark chocolate are also recommended
Their home-made gaufres are possible to take away separately.

IKEA

Finally, after almost 10 years of preparations, the Swedish home furnishing store could open the doors to the public in the Nice area in May 2022.
24.000 sqm with the complete assortment of furniture and accessories and of course the restaurant serving Swedish meatballs, and the food shop.
The Store is easy to access from Nice center with the tram line 3. If you come by car, there are 1700 parking places.

Fina Bocca
54 rue Gambetta, Nice
I love those food stores in France where you can buy ready-made “home made” food.
Fina Bocca is one of those places. Here they have the most delicious Nice specialties as “pissaladiere” (the Nice pizza based on onion) or “farcis nicois’ ‘ (stuffed vegetables) and Aioli ( a fish speciality based on Cod).

The founders of this concept want to offer good objects to an eco-responsible consumer looking for sustainable products as well in design as by the production. They chose objects that have been created by the rules of art, that have a personality and that are aging well and respect the environment.

Star dog

This is a crazy place where you can find everything to spoil your dog or cat, like all kinds of collars, leashes, toys and mascots.
But why not offer your lady dog a pink dress or dress up your cat in a knitted cardigan, all with coordinated shoes.

Nike Factory Store
1614 RN 7, Villeneuve-Loubet
An outlet for Nike sports products, clothes and shoes. If you are not looking for a specific model, you can make a good deal here. Prices are up to 40% of market price.
It is not very easy to find this outdoor shopping center. It takes about 20 minutes from Nice and you’ll better have a car.

Le Marché de nos collines
9 Route d'Opio, Le Rouret
This is an agricultural cooperative in Le Rouret selling local ptofucts from regional producers. They have a fantastic Olive Oil, and other products based on olives, jam and syrup based on local fruits, fresh fruits and vegetables and also some meat and cheese.
Open every day, Sundays only in the morning.

Arabian Oud
15 Rue Massena, Nice
This is a newly opened luxury perfume shop. They make oriental fragrances in exceptional bottles mixing arabian incense and oud oil, only using the highest quality.
The objective is to bring the customer on a voyage of discovery where the East meets the West and where tradition meets contemporary luxury.
Very impressive gift packs. The sales person / adviser is very service minded.

Louloudakiss
9, rue de la Buffa, Nice
This little flower shop always has a very nice exhibition outside on the street. And it varies and changes with the seasons and different themes. You can choose a ready made bouquet or arrangement, or personalize one together with the personnel. They are always very nice and friendly.

Le Vanillier
7, avenue Auber, Nice
This pastry shop was created already in 1940 and is today a must-see address in Nice for pastry and chocolate lovers. It’s situated in a nice art-deco building in the heart of the Musician Quarter. Francois, the pastry baker, and his wife Gabriella, the shopkeeper, settled her in 1993.

Marché Liberation

This market at Place de General de Gaulle and the streets around, is a local market offering fruits and vegetables, fish and seafood as well as some local products such as honey, olives etc. from around Nice. It’s open everyday except Mondays. There is a friendly and easygoing atmosphere. All the merchants are always service minded and offer you a tasting of a fruit or give you cooking tips for the fish.

Le Clos de Laure
10 rue Verdi, Nice
Le Clos de Laure is a small shop selling local artisan products from the Nice region. It’s a family business. They buy fruits and vegetables from local producers and produce delicious jam, marmelade, sirops etc from the family house close to Grasse. Delicious as appetizers, breakfast or with some cheese.

AUER
7, rue St. François de Paule, Nice
This candy shop was founded in 1820. The founder was attracted by the abundance of Mediterranean fruit productions. The candied fruits and fruit pastes are carefully selected from local farmers without any chemicals added. The shop is definitely worth a visit as it is decorated in a Florentine style and very kitschy. It says that Queen Victoria from England was a frequent customer.

Jolie Maison
7, rue Verdi, Nice
Small boutique selling lampes and small trendy furniture as well as wall and floor covering of high quality paint and concrete wax. They provide advice regarding colors and home decoration and recommend high quality craftsmen. The shop is a mess but it is also its charm.

Les Puces de Nice
Quai Lunel, Rue Robilant, Nice
Situated in an old fisherman’s hut at NIce harbor the flea markets and antique dealers offer all types of objects more or less old. There is a mix of jewelry, furniture, lampes, cutlery, paintings, lampes , glassware and all kinds of strange objects.
It’s open Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 6 pm (7 pm in June, July and September).
There are more shops on the streets, like “real” antiques and modern design shops.

L’Insolite
84 Rue de France, Nice
Situated in the Fleur area, this deposit sale of 600m2 offers design and vintage furniture, fashion accessories, appliances, table decoration, books, vinyl discs etc. New objects are coming in every day. It’s a well-known addresse among professionals as well as private customers.
Open Tuesday-Saturday 9.30-19.00 with a break between 12.30-14-00

Iconic
Avenue Jean Médecin, Nice
The new glass building close to the railway station in Nice is finally open.
The building looks like a diamond and it’s called Iconic. There are shops like Uniqlo and Monoprix as well as Starbucks and the hamburger restaurant Five Guys.
